Weekly Announcements 1/23-27/12

Hello Parents-

Here are the announcements for this week:

Solo and Ensemble:

All students are required to participate in the Solo and Ensemble
Festival at Arlington High School on Saturday, February 18. We should receive
our scheduled time soon and I will pass that information on to you. We have
begun working on the students’ solos in class and will continue to do so until
the event. If you have a scheduling conflict on this day, please contact me as
soon as possible so that we may talk about a solution.

Honor Band/Jazz Band Trip Info:

-Reminder: The first payment of $125 is due by next Tuesday, January, 31.

-Please make checks payable to Bon Lin Band Boosters and turn all
payments directly into Mr. Tucker.

-Band fees must be paid in order to be eligible for the trip.

Playing Tests:

There are no playing tests currently scheduled for this week.

Car Wash Cards:

We still have some car wash cards out. Please return these to the
band room by this Friday. Students planning to go on the trip must have either
turned in their cards or money to be eligible.

Valentine’s Dance:

We are in need of volunteers to help with the Valentine’s dance.
We will need help with setup, chaperoning, ticket sales, concessions, and
clean-up. I am confirming the date and time tomorrow and will send that
information out as soon as I have it.

Rehearsal Schedule:

Honor Band – Tuesday and Friday: Full Rehearsal @ 7:30am

Jazz Band – Monday and Thursday: Full Rehearsal @ 7:30am

Goal Sheets:

Remember, classes that meet on Fridays should turn in Goal Sheets
on Fridays. All other students submit their Goal Sheets on Mondays. Powerschool
grades will be updated by the end of the school day on Wednesday. A copy of the
Goal Sheet is available on the band website.
